What began as a fairy-tale romance for American singer Brittany Porter with the former King of Malaysia and ruler of Kelantan-- Sultan Muhammad V has now turned into a painful public breakup.

Porter claims she unknowingly married Sultan Muhammad V, after believing their relationship had only reached the engagement stage. And now, she demands a "proper divorce". But it was only later that she discovered that the nikah was infact a legally binding Islamic marriage.

Sadly, she came know about this only months later, when the Sultan suddenly disappeared from her life and stopped contacting her.
