'Use bulletproof car': Hyderabad police warns BJP MLA Raja Singh over security laps in sensitive areas

HYDERABAD : Taking note of BJP MLA Raja Singh ’s alleged movement through sensitive areas without adhering to the prescribed security protocol, Hyderabad police on Sunday issued a notice to the MLA, urging him to follow the protocol strictly to prevent any untoward incidents.In the notice issued by Mangalhat police, Raja Singh was instructed to use the bulletproof vehicle and five security personnel assigned to him. This is the second such notice served to him in the past month. “It is once again brought to your attention that you have been receiving frequent threatening calls, and it has been observed that you are often leaving your residence and office without any security personnel. On May 31, between 5pm and 7pm, you were seen moving through highly sensitive, communally charged areas such as Talabkatta, Bhavani Nagar, Injanbowli, Baba Nagar, Bahadurpura, Santosh Nagar, Yakutpura, Golkonda and Jirra.

This reflects negligence towards your personal safety. You are therefore once again urged to safeguard yourself by using the bulletproof vehicle and the 1+4 security personnel provided by govt, in order to avoid any untoward incidents,” the Mangalhat inspector stated.Raja Singh had previously received multiple threat calls.
