'Vaazha 2: Biopic of a Billion Bros' continues its impressive box office journey. The Hashir-led comedy has crossed Rs 107 crore in India gross collections by day 15. India net collections stand at Rs 92.47 Cr so far.

Day 15 collection details of 'Vaazha 2'

On day 15, the third Thursday, the film collected Rs 7 lakhs live net from 135 shows at 21.0 percent occupancy as reported by the Sacnilk website. This is a sharp drop from previous days as it enters the third week. Day 14, the second Wednesday, added Rs 4.90 Cr net from 1,511 shows at 62.0 percent occupancy. Week 2 collections totalled Rs 37.42 Cr. The film has shown remarkable consistency even after two full weeks.

Earlier week performance of Hashir starrer

Day 12, the second Monday, collected Rs 5.05 Cr net from 1,902 shows at 51.0 percent occupancy.

Day 13, the second Tuesday, added Rs 4.95 Cr net from 1,979 shows at 48.0 percent occupancy.The steady performance in week two has helped push the overall India gross past the Rs 107 crore mark.

'Vaazha 3' announcement

Following the success of 'Vaazha' and the blockbuster run of 'Vaazha 2', makers have officially confirmed 'Vaazha 3: Biopic of a Billion Girls'. This third installment will shift focus to a female-led cast.

Producers on franchise vision

Co-producer Harris Desom, who also worked on the original 'Vaazha' and 'Jo & Jo', shared his thoughts in a talk with The Week.

He said, "As producers, what we are thinking is that we managed to create such a success with newcomers. That was the case with 'Vaazha', 'Vaazha 2' and 'Jo & Jo' as well — no big stars. We were very confident about that and put in so much effort."He added, "Yes, it's going to be a franchise. Be it 4 or 5, the intention is to bring new people, including the technicians and actors.
