Vanamamalai Seer prays at Tirumala

The chief pontiff of the renowned Vanamamalai Mutt, HH Srimath Paramahamsethyanthi Madhurakavi Jeeyar, offered prayers at the Lord Venkateswara temple here on Monday.

TTD Executive Officer Anilkumar Singhal and temple priests accorded him the traditional Pedda Maryadai honours, a privilege usually reserved for representatives of leading Hindu religious institutions.

As part of the ritual, the sacred Satari, which is generally confined to the temple’s inner sanctum, was ceremoniously brought out in a palanquin to escort the seer into the shrine.
