VARANASI: The millennia-old city of Varanasi has geared up to develop a concrete action plan to increase the district's GDP in alignment with the state's goal of becoming a one trillion-dollar economy.
The district magistrate, Satyendra Kumar, on Tuesday held a district-level meeting focusing on making Uttar Pradesh a one trillion-dollar economy.During the meeting, the DM gave necessary instructions to the officials and emphasised ensuring necessary actions across all points for qualitative growth in the primary, secondary, and tertiary sectors. In the primary sector, emphasis was placed on qualitative growth and coverage expansion in agriculture, animal husbandry, and fisheries.
Similarly, discussions were held on accelerating growth in the secondary and tertiary sectors.The district magistrate also instructed the officials to increase the number of industry registrations, enhance production, and accurately present all data. He stressed the importance of proper reporting alongside expected growth in all sectors.The meeting was attended by Chief Development Officer Himanshu Nagpal, ADM FR Vandita Srivastava, ADM Protocol, ADM Civil Supply, and officials from agriculture, animal husbandry, horticulture, fisheries, and other related departments.
