‘Varavu’: Shaji Kailas and Joju George’s film starts rolling; a high-voltage action flick incoming

Finally, the most-awaited Joju George and Shaji Kailas film ‘Varavu’ has started rolling. The movie, which is touted to be a high-voltage action flick, started filming in Munnar on the last day.

‘Varavu’ marks the first collaboration between Shaji Kailas and Joju George in the lead and is mounted on a large scale.

Joju George will be joining the shoot on September 17. As it is said to be an action flick, Shaji Kailas has left no stone unturned in perfecting the action sequences, as the most popular choreographers, Kalai Kingston, Stunt Silva, Kanalkannan, are roped in for the project.

The Joju George starrer revolves around the story of Paulachan, who is also known by the name Pauly. The story is set in a high-range region, indicating a breathtaking visual experience along with raw performances.

Apart from Joju George, ‘Varavu’ also features the actors Arjun Ashokan, Baburaj, Vincy Aloshious, Saniya Iyappan, Shammi Thilakan, Azeez Nedumangad, Kottayam Ramesh, Deepak Parambol, and Chaali Pala in pivotal roles. Interestingly, the talented writer AK Sajan who is best known for the films ‘Red Chillies’, ‘Chinthamani Kolacase’, ‘Dhrona’, will be penning down the script for this actioner.

Overall, the expectations are quite high as Shaji Kailas and Joju George are teaming up for ‘Varavu’.Meanwhile, Joju George was recently seen in the Surya starrer ‘Retro’. Even though Karthik Subbaraj’s directorial had received mixed reviews from the audience, Joju George’s villain role got much praise. Joju George was also seen in the recently released Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam ‘s action drama movie ‘Thug Life’.On the other hand, Shaji Kailas’ previous outing was the Bhavana starrer horror film ‘Hunt’.
