Vasco woman stabs dog for barking at bike, it bites back

Vasco: Vasco police on Wednesday filed an FIR against a woman for allegedly assaulting her neighbour’s pet dog with a knife multiple times over its barking.Police said that Francisco D’Souza, a resident of Pixem Dongri, lodged a complaint that his neighbour Rhea D’Souza stabbed the dog, causing multiple injuries to it.The incident was reported at 5.30pm on Tuesday, when the dog, enraged by the sound of a Bullet motorcycle ridden by Rhea, began barking. Police said that Rhea then attacked the dog with a knife, and while she was stabbing it, the dog bit her back. She has been admitted to hospital and is under observation. Police filed the case against Rhea under sections of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act. Further investigation is being conducted by PSI Priyanka Patil under the supervision of PI Vaibhav Naik.
