Vasudha fame Parineeta Borthakur opens up about her love for Diwali: “It’s my favourite time of the year”

Actress Parineeta Borthakur, who is currently seen playing Chandrika Singh Chauhan in the television show Vasudha, talks about the significance of Diwali in her life and expresses her joy as she prepares to make the festival memorable.She said, “Diwali holds a special place in my heart it’s my favorite time of the year! The city comes alive with twinkling lights, and just stepping out feels like a mood booster. Diwali nights are beautiful due to the combined effect of tradition, visual spectacle, and deep spiritual meaning. The festival of lights transforms the darkness of the new moon into a radiant celebration, where the collective effort of millions creates a captivating and emotionally resonant scene.

”She continued, “The visual beauty of the lights is enhanced by their profound spiritual meaning. The flickering flames of the lamps are believed to ward off evil spirits and negative energy, creating a protective and positive aura around homes. The lights also symbolize the victory of knowledge over ignorance and the inner light of wisdom that burns away darkness.”Talking about her Diwali celebrations, she shared, “As an Assamese, our Laxmi Puja coincides with Sharad Purnima, so on Diwali, we light diyas to celebrate Shri Ram’s return a central deity, an avatar of Lord Vishnu from our Ramayana, one of the important epics of Hinduism.

The day marks his homecoming to Ayodhya after his victory over the demon king Ravana. People lit rows of diyas (oil lamps) to illuminate his path and celebrate his return a tradition that continues even today.

”She added, “I cherish celebrating Diwali with my loved ones family and close friends gathered in one place, making it a joyous and memorable time. I enjoy the festive spirit with phuljhadi, chakri, and anar, but I prefer keeping it safe and eco-friendly, without bomb crackers.
