Lewis further added, “I want to especially thank the Los Angeles Kings organization for believing in me from day one. You gave me an opportunity to chase this dream, and together we built something I will carry with me for the rest of my life.”In a heartfelt message, Lewis reflected on his journey, expressing his gratitude to everyone for the opportunities, teammates, and experiences the game provided. He was widely known for his shutdown ability, making him one of the better defensive players in the NHL. Reports suggest that in 1,034 games, the Salt Lake City native scored 104 goals and 133 assists for 237 points, with another 28 points in 106 postseason games.
