Three unidentified individuals threw petrol bombs at a house in Punjab's Jalandhar, setting the property on fire. The incident occurred in the intervening nights of Sunday and Monday.

The entire incident was captured on CCTV, which showed one of the three miscreants--wearing a striped white T-shirt--lighting a petrol bomb and throwing it at the entrance, causing a small explosion. The others followed suit, throwing bombs one after the other before fleeing the scene.

While no one was injured in the attack, the attack caused significant damage both inside and outside the house. The Adampur police have begun investigating the case.

Senior police official Hardev Preet Singh said the incident took place around midnight on Sunday. Parminder Kaur, the wife of the house-owner Hansraj, told the police in her statement that their son and daughter live abroad, and she resides in the house with their younger son, Sumit Kumar.

According to Hansraj, when the family woke up in the morning, they found shattered glass pieces scattered inside the house and burn marks on the main gate. They immediately informed the Adampur police. CCTV footage from the house was reviewed as part of the investigation.

The police stated that they are looking into the matter and the accused will be identified and arrested soon. An FIR will be registered shortly, the police added.
