A jeweller was allegedly attacked with a stick inside his shop in Rajasthan's Dholpur district, leaving him injured, while CCTV footage of the assault has gone viral.

A youth allegedly entered a shop and attacked a local jeweller with sticks in Rajasthan's Dholpur district, leaving him injured. The CCTV footage of the attack has gone viral on social media.

According to the victim, Gaurav Soni, vice-president of the Swarnkar Samaj in Baseri was sitting inside his shop on Saturday morning after opening it when the accused, Amit Soni, entered the premises carrying a stick.

The accused entered the shop and launched an attack on Gaurav Soni. The victim tried to protect himself, but the accused continued to hit him with the stick. The assault left Gaurav Soni injured and bleeding.

Some passersby who witnessed the incident rushed into the shop and attempted to rescue the victim. Following their intervention, the accused fled the spot.

Gaurav Soni alleged that Amit Soni abused him and started assaulting him with the stick. He said he sustained injuries to his hand and other parts of his body while trying to defend himself. The survivor further alleged that the accused snatched a gold chain from his neck and an earring during the assault.

After receiving information about the incident, family members reached the spot and took the injured Gaurav Soni to a hospital, where he received primary treatment.

Gaurav Soni later submitted a written complaint to the police and demanded action in the matter. Police have registered a case and started further investigation.
