Video: Woman, her mother dragged and beat elderly mother-in-law in Ghaziabad

A daughter-in-law, along with her mother, beat her elderly mother-in-law in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh.

The accused, Akanksha, beat up her mother-in-law, Sudesh Devi, in her own home. The CCTV footage of the incident, which occurred on July 1, shows Akanksha and her mother pushing and hitting Sudesh Devi repeatedly, dragging her to the ground and beating her mercilessly.

Despite the severity of the assault, the victim was forced to make multiple visits to the police station to seek justice. Initially, the police reportedly refused to lodge an FIR. It is alleged that the daughter-in-law’s family had connections within the police department, which led to the delay in action.

However, after the CCTV footage of the incident went viral on social media, police registered an FIR against Akanksha and her mother.
