Tollywood's most beloved couple, Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna, are staying true to their words as they move forward with the promise they made earlier this year after tying the knot.
They announced they would support students from government schools in Telangana.Vijay Deverakonda took to his X (formerly Twitter) handle to share that he and his wife Rashmika Mandanna were travelling to the village, Thummanpet. It was the place where his father was born.

The actor expressed happiness about seeing their dream slowly become a reality. He wrote, “We are on our way to Thummanpet. The little village where my Father was born.
In February - @iamRashmika and I had announced the beginning of a little dream of ours. To reward all the hardworking students of 9th and 10th grade from Achampet Mandal of Telangana.”
Gestures like these always feel nice coming from people in power who can make a difference by actually doing something meaningful in a time when education system itself may feel like a burden on students.He also revealed the list of the 180 students.
For the unversed, the star couple announced this initiative through the Deverakonda Foundation. The couple decided to support students studying in Classes 9 and 10 across 44 government schools in Thummanpeta.In this initiative, the foundation will help ensure that school fees are paid on time and help students receive notebooks and other study materials.Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda got married following Telugu and Kodava traditions in a grand yet intimate ceremony in Udaipur among close family and friends.
Couple in ‘Ranabaali’
On the professional front, Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna are preparing for the release of Ranabaali. The film will mark their first movie together after marriage. In the film, Vijay Deverakonda will be seen as a fearless 19th-century rebel and Rashmika Mandanna as his wife, Jayamma.The pair had earlier shared screen space in ‘Geetha Govindam’ and ‘Dear Comrade’. Ranabaali will be their third collaboration on screen.The film will be released in theaters on September 11, 2026.
