Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna, fresh into their marriage, have made a delightful entrance into their new abode, marking their grihapravesam with a heartfelt announcement: a scholarship initiative for Class 9 and 10 students across Telangana. After having tied the knot in a stunning Udaipur ceremony, the couple also shared delightful glimpses from their sangeet celebration.
Newlywed actor Vijay Deverakonda recently visited his hometown Thummanapeta in Telangana with his wife Rashmika Mandanna and his family on Monday. The couple performed the grihapravesam ceremony at their new house, where they also performed the Satyanarayana Vratam puja.
While talking to fans, the ‘Kingdom’ actor announced a scholarship scheme for students of Class 9 and Class 10.
Scholarship announcement for students
A fan shared a video on X (formerly Twitter) where Vijay Deverakonda is seen standing on a stage addressing the fans. He announced a scholarship scheme for students of Class 9 and Class 10 in 44 government schools in the Achampet Division of Telangana. He said the support will be given through his charitable trust.
He wants students to continue their studies without money problems. The crowd clapped loudly after hearing this.
Rashmika Mandanna, Vijay Deverakonda’s mother and his brother, actor Anand Deverakonda, stood next to him and applauded the idea.Vijay Deverakonda also mentioned that he plans to visit his village regularly from now on.
Wedding and Sangeet celebrations
Vijay and Rashmika got married on 26 February in Udaipur in a traditional South Indian ceremony.
Close friends and family attended the wedding. The couple had been linked for many years but confirmed their relationship only recently. Now, they are planning to host a grand reception on 4 March in Hyderabad. Recently, the couple shared the sangeet pictures from their festivities on February 24, 2026, ahead of their wedding on February 26 in Udaipur. The couple shared glamorous, joy-filled night pictures where they are seen enjoying dance moments with their family members. Rashmika Madanna dazzled in a shimmery champagne-gold lehenga-choli with sheer dupatta and diamond jewelry, while Vijay Deverakonda complemented in a regal dark blue sherwani or all-black attire.
Back on screen with ‘Ranabaali’
On the work front, Vijay and Rashmika will soon be seen together in the film ‘Ranabaali.’ This is their third film together after ‘Geetha Govindam’ and ‘Dear Comrade’.The film is set to release on September 11, 2026.
