Vijay Raghavendra and Sriimurali's mother Jayamma Chinnegowda passes away; Sandalwood mourns

The film industry is mourning the loss of Jayamma Chinnegowda, mother of Kannada film actors Vijay Raghavendra and Sriimurali. She passed away on June 16 following age-related health complications and had been undergoing treatment at a hospital for the past few days, however her condition reportedly did not improve.Jayamma Chinnegowda was a well-known figure in Sandalwood and was associated with film production. She produced films such as 'Sevanthi Sevanthi'(2006) and 'Ganesha Matthe Banda' (2008). She was married to veteran producer and distributor S.A. Chinnegowda, making her part of one of Karnataka's most respected film families.Interestingly, the family also shares close ties with the legendary Dr. Rajkumar's family. S.A.

Chinnegowda's sister, Parvathamma Rajkumar, was married to Dr. Rajkumar, further strengthening the family's deep roots in the Kannada film industry.Jayamma's sons, Vijay Raghavendra and Sriimurali, have carved successful careers in Sandalwood.
