Vikarabad Man Kills Family, Dies by Suicide Amid Dispute: Police

A man killed his wife, daughter and sister-in-law before killing himself. Preliminary investigations suggest it to be a matter of family dispute.

In a shocking incident, a man killed his wife, daughter, and sister-in-law in Vikarabad district of Telangana. Later, he killed himself. The man also attacked his another daughter, who escaped and sustained injuries. The incident took place in the  early hours of Sunday, police said.

Police arrived at the scene in Kulkacherla mandal between 2.30 am to 3 am after receiving a ‘Dial 100’ call reporting the incident, officials stated.

The man allegedly used a sickle to kill his wife (in her mid-30s), his younger daughter (around 10 years old), and his sister-in-law (in her mid-40s) while they were asleep, an official added.

He also attempted to kill his elder daughter, who escaped with injuries and was admitted to the hospital. The man subsequently died by suicide by hanging himself in the house, the official said.

Preliminary investigations suggest there were disputes between the man and his wife. A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway, police reported.
