Former WWE boss Vince McMahon was involved in a car accident in Connecticut, United States of America, last week, according to reports.

The 79-year-old reportedly rammed his 2024 Bentley into a BMW in Westport on the 24th of July, before tagging a wooden guardrail. The debris from the incident also hit a Ford Fusion on the opposite side of the road.

The crash occurred on Route 15 as McMahon was in his 2024 luxury car. However, no major injuries were reported as both parties involved in the crash were buckled up and the airbags were deployed at the right time.

McMahon, who stepped down from his role at the helm of the wrestling franchise in 2022 amid lawsuits over sexual abuse, has been mired in controversy.

The incident went down the same day as McMahon paid tribute to the late great Hulk Hogan, following the iconic grapplers sad demise last week.

Earlier this year, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) revealed that McMahon had entered into two settlement agreements totaling $10.5 million with two women to prevent them from disclosing potential claims against him and WWE.

One agreement, signed in 2019, required McMahon to pay a former employee $3 million in exchange for her non-disclosure of their relationship and for releasing potential claims against WWE and McMahon.

The second agreement, signed in 2022, obliged McMahon to pay a former WWE independent contractor $7.5 million in return for her non-disclosure of allegations against him and for releasing potential claims against WWE and McMahon, according to the SEC.

The SEC stated that McMahon failed to disclose these agreements to WWE’s board, legal department, accountants, financial reporting personnel, or auditor. This action bypassed WWE’s internal accounting controls and led to material misstatements in the company’s 2018 and 2021 financial statements.
