Violence outside Assam jail as Zubeen Garg fans attack vehicle carrying people arrested over singer's death

Tension gripped Assam's Baksa district on Wednesday as violent protests broke out outside the District Jail following the arrival of five accused who have been arrested in the death case of legendary singher Zubeen Garg.

The accused — event organiser Shyamkanu Mahanta, the singer’s manager Siddharth Sharma, cousin and suspended APS officer Sandipan Garg, and two PSOs, including Nandeswar Bora — were sent to judicial custody by the Chief Judicial Magistrate earlier in the day.
