VIT donates essentials to orphanages, old age homes and blind schools for Deepavali

The Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) donated groceries, sweets, crackers, and clothes to more than 20 orphanages, old age homes and blind schools in Vellore, Gudiyatham towns and surrounding areas as part of Deepavali festival, which will be celebrated on October 20. According to a press release, Kadhambari S. Viswanathan, assistant vice-president, VIT, visited orphanages and old age homes and donated groceries, sweets, crackers, napkins and clothes to more than 1000 persons there. On the occasion, Sankar Viswanathan, vice-president, VIT, and Sravan Krishna of VIT were present, the release said.
