Vivo X Fold 6 goes official with dual 120Hz LTPO AMOLED displays

New Delhi: Vivo has finally announced its latest foldable flagship, the Vivo X Fold 6. This foldable flagship unveils notable upgrades in design, imaging capabilities, battery technology, and multitasking software. It sports an upgraded physical design with rounded corners and a 2.5D metal frame. This foldable is available in three nature-inspired color options: Blue Hole, Salt Lake, and Polar Night.

It features a dual-screen setup, with the thermal display being an 8.02-inch Samsung M14 panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. External display with a 6.51-inch BOE panel, also supporting a 120Hz refresh rate. Both displays have received TUV Rheinland Global Eye Protection 3.0 certification and incorporate hardware-level 1-nit low-light adjustments capabilities to manage the user’s eye fatigue in dim environments.

It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super Edition chipset. In terms of network stability, this device includes Vivo’s self-developed 1+4 communication chipset, which comprises a single global smart signal amplifier and four specialized Wi-Fi enhancement and wall-penetrating processors.

It carries IP5X, IPX8, and IPX9 dust and water resistance certifications. It contains a 7,000mAh battery that combines fifth-generation silicon anode technology with Vivo’s exclusive third-generation semi-solid-state battery technology, optimizing energy density and temperature resilience. It supports 80W wired and 40W wireless charging.

The rear camera module is actually built around a V3+ imaging chip and a multi-lens configuration. It includes a 200MP HPB sensor main camera sensor (1/1.4, f/1.68 aperture), a 50MP LYT602 sensor telephoto lens (1/1.95, f/2.57 aperture), and a 50MP ultra-wide sensor. Out of the box, it comes with OriginOS 6 Fold, an operating system especially optimized for the foldable form factor. This interface allows users to split the large internal screen to run multiple apps simultaneously, facilitating concurrent tasks such as document viewing, web searching, content creation, and messaging on a single display.
