GUNTUR: The World Telugu Children’s Festival — VVIT-U Balotsav 2025 — culminated in a dazzling display of youthful creativity and cultural pride on its final day at Vasireddy Venkatadri International Technological University (VVIT-U).

The campus pulsed with energy as young participants captivated audiences across 32 venues with competitions in music, dance, slokas, theatre, and traditional arts. From the poetic flow of literary presentations to the graceful precision of classical dance and the vibrant expressions of folk performances, children wove imagination, rhythm, and emotion into every act. Tiny hands transformed clay into divine idols and paper scraps into intricate village scenes, bullock carts, and symbols of Telugu tradition, earning thunderous applause and heartfelt admiration. The three-day extravaganza concluded with a grand valedictory ceremony, a fitting tribute to talent, tradition, and togetherness. Renowned poet and Sahitya Akademi Award recipient Papineni Siva Sankar, the Chief Guest, urged students to move beyond mere information accumulation toward true knowledge through art. He shared how a Rabindranath Tagore poem ignited his poetic journey and cited inspiring figures like cricket champion Jeremy Roderick and chess prodigy Mukesh as role models.

“Let creative expression shape your character,” he advised. Chancellor Vasireddy Vidya Sagar reflected on the irreplaceable joy of childhood, encouraging participants to cherish their innocence, curiosity, and values. “When children are happy, everyone is happy,” he affirmed.Winners across 20 categories and 61 divisions were felicitated with exquisitely crafted Kondapalli wooden bullock carts — iconic emblems of rural Telugu artistry — in varying sizes, along with copies of the Bhagavad Gita and certificates for first, second, and third places.

The ceremony soared to a vibrant close with electrifying cultural performances, infusing the atmosphere with color, rhythm, and exuberance. The festival kicked off on Day 1 with a grand inaugural led by Mandali Buddha Prasad, MLA of Avanigadda.
