Sabalenka's achievement makes her the first women's player to successfully defend a US Open title since Serena Williams' three consecutive victories from 2012 to 2014. This victory adds to her growing collection of Major titles, which includes her previous US Open triumph in 2024 against Jessica Pegula and Australian Open victories in 2023 and 2024.The celebration was made more special by the presence of her boyfriend, Georgios Frangulis, a Brazilian entrepreneur who founded Oakberry in 2016. The couple's relationship became public in April 2024, and Frangulis has since become a regular presence at Sabalenka's matches.
