Watch: Barron Trump greets mother, the internet says he looks like his father

As US President Donald Trump gave his first State of the Union address of his second term on February 24, 2025, a warm moment between his wife Melania and their son Barron has set the internet abuzz.

In a video that quickly gained traction on numerous social media platforms, the couple's 19-year-old son can be seen waiting for his mother to arrive in the House of Representatives chamber. As soon as she reached her seat next to him, the two shared a warm hug and kiss that marked a rare joint public appearance for the two, especially the notoriously media-shy Barron. Soon, social media users flooded the comments, likening the 6ft 9in NYU student to his father in resemblance and mannerisms.

"A young man with good manners and respect for his mother. He will be President one day," claimed an X user. "Barron is maturing and handsome" wrote another, while sharing an image of young Trump.

Trump's first SOTU address was attended by every member of the Trump family including all of his five children and their spouses. The First Lady even received a standing ovation and applause upon her entrance to the chambers, marking a stunning moment of respect for her role.

Additionally, in other videos going viral on the internet, viewers commended how Barron, the youngest kid in the clan towered over most of his family members and patiently waited for his mother to stand up when called upon by his father. "His mannerisms are much like his father. It’s uncanny," wrote one surprised viewer on X. In his speech, Trump made quite a few blazing claims in what became the longest speech before a joint session of Congress in at least 60 years. With crediting himself for resolving the Indo-Pak conflict to boasting that he had ushered in a "golden age," he made numerous controversial statements in the address.
