Tensions flared on Thursday after the Janata Dal (United) office in Patna was vandalised by angry party workers protesting Nitish Kumar’s decision to step down as Bihar Chief Minister as he prepares to move to the Rajya Sabha. Footage showing broken plates and toppled furniture in the office premises has gone viral.
The incident took place ahead of the JDU supremo's scheduled filing of his nomination for the Rajya Sabha, a move that comes four months after he was sworn in for a record 10th term as the Chief Minister.
