Watch: Road caves in near Noida school after rain, 15-foot crater appears

This morning’s light rain in Uttar Pradesh's Noida once again exposed the tall claims made by the Noida Authority. After the rainfall, a road near one of Noida’s posh sectors — Sector-100 — caved in, forming a massive crater in the middle of the road. The incident raises serious questions about the authority’s monsoon preparedness.

While the morning showers brought some relief from the humid heat, they also caused waterlogging and traffic congestion, creating inconvenience for commuters. The most shocking scene came from near Pathways School in Sector-100, where a service road suddenly collapsed, creating a crater approximately 12 feet wide and 15 feet deep.

The large pothole in the middle of the road has caused major trouble for parents transporting school children as well as daily commuters. Locals are blaming the Noida Authority for its negligence. The size of the crater has left residents fearful of potential harm to life and property.

Every year, the Noida Authority makes promises of road repairs and flood control measures ahead of the monsoon. But the collapse of the road after just light rainfall suggests that all such preparations exist only on paper.
