Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju, who was headed to Kargil for a visit Sunday, took to his social media to share that his envoy enroute Drass in Ladakh were “on time” by chance as a vehicle ahead of them fell into a river. Both persons in the incident survived, he added.

Sharing visuals from the site, Rijiju wrote: “Before reaching Drass in Ladakh, one vehicle fell into the river just ahead of our Convoy. Luckily, we were on time and both persons survived.”

The video shows the two men standing atop the fallen truck in the middle of the river in the Union Territory. Rijiju and his security personnel can be seen on the road as efforts were on to rescue them.
