BE:FIRST debuted on November 3, 2021, with Ryoki rising to fame and popularity as one of the all-arounder members. Now, after years of success, the idol was accused of infidelity. After public backlash, the idol went on a hiatus, though now, as per a social media post shared by the group, he will officially be leaving it.The idol also issued a statement of his own about his departure from the group, which read, “We’ll walk our own paths from here, but my support for BE:FIRST will never change.”
What really happened?
Ryoki reportedly met CEO and online personality Ono Akari at the beginning of his career, with the two quickly hitting it off and getting into a relationship. This was followed by her paying him a monthly allowance of 2 million JPY, along with buying him expensive merchandise and items, including a car as well. He was later accused of infidelity, specifically when the two were engaged to be married. The public backlash was massive, with many people calling him out for his actions and speculating that he only used Ono for her money.
The situation worsened; it was reported that he was now with Japanese actress Shuri. Although his management agency has confirmed that he and Akari split on their own terms, his public image had taken a hit, after which he announced that he would be taking a hiatus from his group, citing that he wished to go independent.

The couple confirmed their marriage in August earlier this year, and also announced that Shuri is expecting the couple’s first child. In September, the two took to their social media accounts to share the news that they are now parents to a healthy newborn baby girl.
