Lionel Messi deeply misses Barcelona and dreams of returning with his family. He looks forward to visiting the renovated Camp Nou and cherishes the city as his true home.

No matter how far Lionel Messi travels, his heart clearly still beats for Barcelona.

The Inter Miami star and Barca legend admitted he and his family “miss Barcelona a lot" and dream of one day returning to live in the Catalan capital — the city that shaped his life and career.

“My message to Barça fans? I’m really looking forward to going back there. We miss Barcelona a lot. The kids constantly mention it, and my wife and I often talk about Barcelona, the idea of living there again. We have our home there, everything, so it’s what we want," Messi todl Sport.

Messi, who has been visiting the city this week, even made a late-night stop at the Camp Nou, sharing a photo from the iconic ground.

The 37-year-old said he’s eager to return to the new stadium once renovations are complete.

“I’m really looking forward to returning to the stadium once it’s finished because since I left for Paris, I haven’t gone back to Camp Nou, and then they moved to Montjuïc. It will feel strange to return to a new stadium and see it again because the last time I saw it was a long time ago.

“It will be emotional to go back, remember everything, even if the stadium is different.

“I’m grateful for the love I always received, nothing but thank you."

Though Messi remains committed to Inter Miami, having signed a contract running through 2028, his words make one thing clear: Barcelona will forever be home.
