Cooper Flagg’s promising LeBron-like potential excites Kendrick Perkins before his debut
Before Cooper Flagg has ever participated in a regular-season game, he has already been compared to numerous legendary NBA players. When discussing the former Duke star's game, names like Michael Jordan and Larry Bird have come up.Flagg has now been elevated to the same level as LeBron James by the former NBA champion. Perkins declared on ESPN:“He is the white version of LeBron James.. When you talk about his IQ for the game, he has that.
When you talk about his ability to be able to create, defend, do all those things, Cooper Flagg has that package, minus a little bit of athleticism than LeBron.”
The former NBA champion also praised the "two-man game" he witnessed during the preseason and talked about the chemistry between Flagg and Anthony Davis. He went on to say:“I wouldn’t be surprised [that] come opening night, the ball is going to be in his hands. He’s going to be running that point forward position.”Since Perkins has compared Flagg with possibly one of the greatest players of all time, he is the only one who can face the pressure of NBA.Also read: NBA icon LeBron James opens up on love, loyalty, and life’s harsh truths in unfiltered podcast chat with Savannah James
