A panel of three Supreme Court judges will meet on Thursday to review Conor McGregor’s application for a further appeal in a civil case where a jury found he assaulted Nikita Hand in a Dublin hotel.

The meeting will take place in private, and the panel’s decision on whether to allow the appeal will be announced later. The judges' panel includes Ms Justice Elizabeth Dunne, Ms Justice Iseult O’Malley, and Mr Justice Séamus Woulfe, who will only permit the appeal if they find it raises a matter of public importance or is in the interests of justice.Last July, the Court of Appeal (CoA) dismissed McGregor’s appeal against the High Court civil jury’s finding that he assaulted Ms Hand at the Beacon Hotel on December 9th, 2018.

The Court of Appeal also upheld the jury’s decision to award Ms Hand €250,000 in damages and ruled that McGregor must pay her legal costs.
