Manchester Uniter registered a 2-0 win over newly-promoted Sunderland on Saturday in the Premier Legaue to register their third win of the season and climb to 9th in the English top flight after seven outings.

Senne Lammens was handed his first start for the club since his move to English shores from Royal Antwerp, and produced a solid showing to pick up a clean sheet. Fans of the club, who have been traumatised by some woeful performances between the sticks in recent years, were delighted by the performance and attitude of the Belgian keeper.

The 23-year-old was brought in from Antwerp on a deal worth in the region of £20m and has earned the trust of the fans near instantaneously.

United netted through Mason Mount and Benjamin Sesko, as Ruben Amorim and Co. took their tally to 10 points for the season following a terrible start to the campaign.

Mount, who was given the nod ahead of Matheus Cunha, put the Red Devils ahead with an exquisite finish in the eighth minute after having brough the ball down on his weaker left foot, to give the hosts the lead, before Sesko tapped the ball in from close range just past the half-hour mark.
