NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday while addressing Lok Sabha on the Operation Sindoor said that "when Pakistan came out in support of terrorists, India's missiles, drones caused unimaginable loss and forced Pakistan to its knees.”He said that after striking terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK), India had issued a clear warning to Islamabad not to escalate the situation further. The primary objective of Operation Sindoor, he explained, was to dismantle the core of the terror infrastructure operating from India’s northern neighbour. However, Pakistan chose to retaliate by targeting Indian military and civilian assets, an action for which, he said, they have paid a heavy price.Earlier while talking about the operation PM said, ”India avenged April 22 in 22 mins,” referring to the duration of strikes launched in the intervening night of May 6th-7th. PM Modi also criticized the opposition saying the army got support from across the world but Congress didn’t back our armed forces. He also said that Congress now depends on Pakistan for issues.“Congress has to import their issues from Pakistan,” the PM said.
