When will Chapter 6 Season 4 begin in Fortnite?

Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 is on its horizon as Season 4 is soon going to kick off in the game. Season 3 dubbed “Super”, inspired by a superhero theme, brought so much brand new content like the Superman collaboration, crossover with The Fantastic Four: First Step, and many more.However, fans need to move on from this season as Fortnite is gearing up for another one. Epic Games hasn’t yet revealed the actual release date of Season 4, but with the end time of Season 3, we can actually deduce the time of the launch of the season.

Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4 launch date and time explored

Right now, Fortnite features a total of three Battle Passes: the main Battle Pass (Fortnite Super), the OG Battle Pass, and one that of LEGO Fortnite. All of these Battle Passes mention the same end date and time - August 7, 2025, at 1:30 AM ET.As Fortnite follows an immediate season launch format, Season 4 is going to be launched on the same day when Season 3 ends. However, it’s not like that Season 4 is going to be launched right after the second Season 3 gets expired, because there will be a server downtime immediately after the end of the current season, for a patch to implement the upcoming season.Epic Games yet to announce the server downtime for Season 4. However, the matchmaking process in Season 3 will be disabled half-an hour prior to the end time of the current season, that means at 1 AM ET on August 7. Usually the regular patches take 2-3 hours to get implemented in the game, just like recently released patch v36.30.

However, for seasonal updates, the server downtime is going to last longer due to the upcoming content volume. Keeping in mind the previous season, the server downtime for Season 4 will take around 4-5 hours to complete. That means Season 4 is expected to be launched around 5-6 AM ET on August 7, 2025.Season 4 is going to be an important one in Fortnite as it’s going to be the last season of Chapter 6. There is expected to be a loose end left behind after the final battle between Daigo and Superman. And this loose end is going to be the remaining tentacle of the kraken-like creature summoned by Daigo. Daigo might be defeated, but that tentacle is going to pose the main threat in Season 4 as the theme of the upcoming season will center around a mechanical insectoid invasion.
