Rocking Star Yash recently shared his Bollywood dream co-star: Deepika Padukone, highlighting their shared Bengaluru roots. He also praised Rajkumar Hirani for his realistic, grounded scripts and called Shah Rukh Khan a genius source of inspiration. His upcoming film Toxic is set for a March 2026 release, sparking mounting anticipation.

Rocking Star Yash once revealed the name of the actress he dreamt of sharing screen space with when stepping into Bollywood.As reported by OTT Play, during a 2018 interview, done amid promotions for the blockbuster film KGF: Chapter 1, Yash was asked which Hindi film star he would choose as his co-star if he ever acted in Bollywood.

Without hesitation, he replied, "Deepika Padukone.”

The reason was not just her superstardom but the warm connection they share as fellow Bengalureans. Yash said that acting with Deepika Padukone would feel natural and exciting.Yash also felt that the shared cultural background might make his Bollywood debut smoother and more enjoyable.

Yash’s admiration for Rajkumar Hirani

In the same conversation, Yash spoke fondly of filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani and expressed his wish to collaborate with him someday.Calling Rajkumar Hirani’s writing relatable and emotionally rich, Yash said, “He is a wonderful filmmaker, and I love his scripts. They are very close to life, very realistic, and very positive—they bring out happiness and a lot of realistic emotions from within.”

Shah Rukh Khan: The inspiration behind the star

In another interview, Yash revealed another name he deeply admires: Shah Rukh Khan.Yash called the Bollywood icon a source of inspiration and praised his intelligence and charm.

The 'Toxic' actor referred to SRK as a "genius," acknowledging his wit, presence, and sharp instincts.

The road ahead: 'Toxic' nears release

Yash’s next big venture, 'Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-ups,' is slated to release on March 19, 2026. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film is described as an action-driven spectacle with a dark fairytale aesthetic.The first single, “Tabaahi,” composed and sung by Vishal Mishra, has already stirred excitement among the fans. The star-studded cast includes Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Rukmini Vasanth, Huma Qureshi, and Tara Sutaria. Although the teaser and trailer were not very impressive, the expectations are high as the 'Moothon' director is teaming up with the 'KGF' star.
