Deion Sanders might be one of the toughest men in football, but even Coach Prime has to hit pause sometimes. The Colorado Buffaloes head coach is currently away from the team and resting at home in Texas due to an unspecified medical issue.
While no official diagnosis has been shared, his family insists he’s doing okay and fans are hoping this is just a temporary setback.

According to multiple reports, including the NFL and On3, Coach Prime is taking time off this summer to focus on his health. He hasn't been on campus, and he’s already missed team events like the Buffaloes' summer football camps and even canceled a scheduled appearance as a keynote speaker at a medical symposium.
That alone raised eyebrows.
And while the University of Colorado hasn’t made a detailed statement, the buzz around Boulder is real, something’s going on, but Sanders’ camp is keeping it private for now..
This could be linked to his past blood clot issues but nothing is confirmed
Here’s the part that has fans extra anxious: Coach Prime has a history of serious health complications. Back in 2021, he underwent multiple surgeries due to blood clots in his legs, which resulted in the amputation of two toes and a portion of his calf.
In 2023, he had more procedures to remove new clots.So far, no one has confirmed whether this latest health scare is related but the similar timing and patterns have people speculating.
