ESPN's "College GameDay" has already started. The next match is Oklahoma vs. Michigan. The guest pickers will arrive in Norman, Oklahoma, on Saturday morning before the Oklahoma Sooners' home game against Michigan in Week 2.

This time, NBA player Trae Young, a guard for the OU men's basketball team in 2017-18 and a current All-Star for the Atlanta Hawks, was chosen as the guest picker for Saturday's game.

Along with Kirk Herbstreit, Nick Saban, Pat McAfee, Desmond Howard, and Rece Davis, NBA player Trae Young will be this week's guest. It's very obvious why Young was this week's guest of choice. That's because the NBA player was a Norman, Oklahoma, high school basketball player. He was also a member of the Sooners' collegiate basketball team.Rayford Young, Young's father, was a professional basketball player in Europe and a former Texas Tech standout. Although he was born in Texas, Trae Young spent his childhood in Oklahoma, where he attended Norman North High School. He also helped the team win the 2015 regional title. After that, he committed to the Sooners at the University of Oklahoma.

Trae Young had an exceptional career as a point guard at Norman North High School.

He scored 2,445 points and finished 69-13 across three seasons, according to MaxPreps. In his junior and senior seasons, he also guided the Timberwolves to the Class 6A state championship game.Young has been chosen to be the guest for the second time. The first time was during OU's 2020 game against Oklahoma State, but he was unable to play because of the COVID-19 epidemic. The game between OU and Michigan will begin on Saturday at Gaylord Family-Oklahoma Memorial Stadium at 6:30 p.m.
