It appears that NBA legend LeBron James will continue to dominate the NBA's news coverage this offseason. He recently chose to sign a deal with the Los Angeles Lakers. Many questioned whether the giant was looking for a trade as a result of this.

The idea of a buyout has also gained traction. The Los Angeles Lakers are not, however, buying out LeBron James, despite the rumours to the contrary.

Despite rumors, the Los Angeles Lakers won’t buy out LeBron James as he opts in for $52.6M and trade market stays cold

The Los Angeles Lakers' decision to buy out the NBA legend would be completely illogical. He still has a lot of value and may fetch a good price in a trade for a team looking to assemble around Luka Dončić. Additionally, for his record 23rd NBA season, the icon has chosen to exercise his $52.6 million player option with his team.

On the other hand, recently, junior James weighed in on the matter.

Despite Bronny James' efforts to avoid social media, one of his friends called him this week to ask about LeBron James' opinions regarding the direction of the Los Angeles Lakers and what that would mean for Bronny's future. Talking about the same during an interview, he said: “I said, ‘I have no idea what you’re talking about’. I don’t really pay attention to that stuff.

There’s a lot of stuff going around that I don’t pay attention to.”NBA insiders also gave their opinion about the same thing. NBA experts Bobby Marks and Brian Windhorst talked about whether there is a market for LeBron James in a trade on ESPN's Get Up.

He then said:“To be sensitive to LeBron, who’s considered one of the greatest of all time — there isn’t… He’s making $53 million, he’s 40, and teams aren’t willing to give up four or five players for one season of LeBron.”Even his local team, the Cleveland Cavaliers, would have to give up a sizable chunk of their roster to acquire him, according to Bobby Marks. However, he added that if the NBA icon were to be bought out and become a free agent, things might change drastically.Lebron James is among the world's most calculating businessmen and athletes. Nobody from his team unintentionally releases anything about him to the public. However, the whole situation now demonstrates how difficult it would be for him to leave the Los Angeles Lakers if that is his desired course. Also read: LeBron James celebrates his electric boat team’s strong finish in Italy but the real test is still ahead.
