Dulquer’s heartfelt admiration for Tamil and cinema culture
“I love Tamil a lot. Tamil was my third language in school. Even my Malayalam directors would say, ‘You speak Tamil better than Malayalam,’” Dulquer Salmaan said with a smile.
He further said, “The history of Tamil cinema began in Kodambakkam. 'Kaantha' is an attempt to celebrate that studio culture again.” Also, fans applauded when Dulquer Salmaan said, "I have never had so many script meetings in my life. I might have completed 8-10 films in that time.
However, this film is not an ordinary film."
Dulquer’s passion for period dramas
"I really like period films, because it's like time travel to me. 'Kaantha' is not an art film.
It's a very commercial film. It's been a long time since I watched such an interesting drama. This will be an unforgettable experience for all of you," promises Dulquer Salmaan to conclude his speech.
