Bokaro: SP Harvinder Singh visited several Durga Puja pandals in the city on Friday and reviewed their security arrangements. Singh also asked the organizers to install CCTV cameras on their premises, ensure proper lighting and arrange for adequate parking facilities near their pandals.Singh visited the pandals at Sector 9 Vaishali Moad, Gayatri Mandir, and Sector 2C. Though most of the pandals are yet to be completed, Singh asked the organizers to widen the entry and exit gates for crowd control, setting up barricades to manage traffic flow and ordered a ban on motorcycles inside the pandal or fair premises. With preparations in full swing, organizers are expecting a heavy turnout from rural and urban areas this puja.
The SP said designated parking areas are being identified for visitors. These locations will have police personnel and volunteers on duty to regulate movement and avoid congestion.“We are making security arrangements at every level. Our top priority is to ensure that devotees can visit pandals without fear,” Singh said.
