The PM further added, “Yesterday, when I was talking to the CEO of Google, he told me that we have investments in many countries around the world outside the US. But now we are going to make the largest investment in Andhra Pradesh."
The new AI hub will include advanced infrastructure such as powerful computing systems, data centres, energy facilities, and a larger fibre-optic network.
PM Modi added that a new international subsea gateway will also be built in Visakhapatnam, which will connect several global subsea cables to India’s eastern coast.
“This project will establish Visakhapatnam as an AI and connectivity hub. It will serve not only India but the entire world," he said.
PM Modi congratulated the people of Andhra Pradesh and praised Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for his “visionary leadership" in attracting such major investments to the state.
The Prime Minister also shared his belief that India is on track to become a developed nation by 2047, marking 100 years of independence.
“As Chandrababu said, looking at this rapid pace, I can say that in 2047, when it will be 100 years of independence, India will be developed. I am confident that the 21st century is going to be the century of India. The 21st century is going to be the century of 1.4 billion Indians," he said.
The event was also attended by Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and other senior leaders.
