Will Fries, the guard for the Minnesota Vikings, married Isabella Therien on June 27, 2025, at Pleasantdale Chateau in West Orange, New Jersey. The couple called their wedding day “Friesday,” a playful name after his last name and the Friday date.
It was a black-tie party with around 250 guests, including several NFL teammates and friends. The bride wore four different dresses, and the groom chose a tuxedo. The couple said their goal was simple: throw the biggest party of their lives with music, dancing, and great food.

The wedding of Will Fries and Isabella Therien took place on June 27, 2025, inside the Pleasantdale Chateau, a grand venue known for its European style and peaceful gardens. The couple wanted the day to feel classy but also fun. Isabella shared, “Our goal was to throw the biggest party of our lives. We wanted everyone to dance and enjoy amazing food.”
Among the 250 guests were NFL players Blake Freeland, Quenton Nelson, Matt Goncalves, Danny Pinter, Braden Smith, Connor McGovern, Ryan Bates, and Ryan Kelly. Friends and family filled the dance floor from start to finish. The live band Hank Lane performed all night without breaks, and later, the Woodland String Band, a Mummers group, surprised the guests as a nod to Isabella’s Polish and Eastern European roots.
The bride and groom also added personal touches. They exchanged handwritten vows, walked down the aisle to songs from Interstellar and Elvis Presley’s Can’t Help Falling in Love, and lit a unity candle with both their mothers. Isabella said she wanted to feel different in each moment, so she wore four gowns, from elegant lace to glamorous beaded designs.

Isabella Therien and Will Fries explained that food was a big part of their love story, so they wanted a venue that offered great meals. Pleasantdale Chateau, which has its own farm, created dishes with local ingredients and served a five-tier strawberry shortcake cake. Instead, they worked with their photographer, Courtney Shea Smith, who also helped design the look of the day.
White and green hydrangeas filled the venue, and neutral colors kept the style soft and timeless.Isabella Therien also shared that Will is a huge fan of The Sopranos, which was filmed at Pleasantdale Chateau, making the place even more special. For the bride, wearing four gowns was the best choice: “Each dress showed a different side of me, boldness, glamour, elegance, and fun.”The wedding day mixed beauty, tradition, music, and personal details. Guests said it was one of the liveliest parties they had ever seen.
