As people across India prepare for Karwa Chauth on October 10, 2025, the question on everyone’s mind is will the moon be clearly visible tonight? Based on the latest weather predictions by the Indian Meteorological Department for major metro cities, sky conditions vary, affecting moon visibility chances across regions.

Delhi: The capital is expected to have a “mainly clear sky”, which means Delhiites can look forward to an easy moon sighting tonight. With temperatures hovering around 31 degrees Celsius and humidity between 85–60 percent, visibility is likely to be excellent.

Mumbai: In contrast, Mumbai may face some challenges. The forecast predicts a “Generally cloudy sky with light rain.” While brief clear patches might occur, intermittent clouds and drizzle could obscure the moon at times.

Chennai: The southern metro is likely to witness a “Partly cloudy sky with possibility of moderate rain or thunderstorm.” Though complete obstruction isn’t expected, cloud cover may delay moon visibility for devotees in Chennai.

Kolkata: Kolkata’s forecast of “Thunderstorm with rain” and “Thunderstorm accompanied by lightning and gusty winds (30–40 kmph)” indicates a low chance of moon visibility. Heavy clouding and rain activity may completely block the view.

Bengaluru: Residents in Bengaluru can expect a “Generally cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain or thundershowers.” There’s a fair possibility of catching a glimpse of the moon between showers, but cloud interruptions are likely.

Hyderabad: The city’s forecast mentions a “Partly cloudy sky with possibility of rain or thunderstorm or duststorm.” This suggests moderate visibility devotees may spot the moon if weather conditions ease after sunset.
