Will Prabhas starrer 'The Raja Saab' have a sequel? Director Maruthi clears the air

The teaser of Prabhas starrer the much-awaited horror comedy-drama film 'The Raja Saab' was released today. Directed by renowned filmmaker Maruthi the teaser has been making rounds on the internet.

Recently, the director shared his thoughts on the film being a standalone or expected to have any sequel.Speaking at the teaser launch event, Maruthi responded candidly to queries about the possibility of a second part. The director mentioned that the story will be completed rather than left on a cliffhanger. At the same time, he hasn't ruled out the possibility of a sequel altogether as the team will decide upon the film's reception.As reported by 123Telugu, the filmmaker said, "We'll think about the sequel only after completing the first installment. I won't deliberately leave the story incomplete just to set up a part two. Prabhas Garu and I are very clear on this."The teaser, which runs for 2 minutes and 28 seconds, opens with visuals that immediately set the tone for a thrilling horror-comedy. The high-end VFX and sound design pull viewers into a ghostly world, with Prabhas making a dramatic entry into a haunted house. His character looks to be a light-hearted, happy-go-lucky young man deeply in love with Nidhhi Agerwal's character.

The teaser also includes supernatural chills with moments of quirky humour. The teaser also gives a playful shoutout to Shah Rukh Khan.The film also stars Malavika Mohanan and Riddhi Kumar as the leading ladies. Bollywood's Sanjay Dutt also plays a key role.The music is composed by Thaman S.The film is set for a grand theatrical release on December 5, 2025, in multiple languages including Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
