A day after the Karnataka High Court pulled him up over his ‘Kannada was born out of Tamil’ remark, actor-politician Kamal Haasan on Wednesday thanked those who stood beside him amid the controversy.
In his first public appearance post the row and the High Court bashing, Kamal Haasan refused to speak on the controversy, saying he would speak on the same when the time is right.
“I thank the media for your support, I am also thankful to others who stood by me," the actor said.
“We have a lot to speak, but not now. We will speak at the right time," Haasan said.
Also speaking about his upcoming film ‘Thug Life’, the actor said, “It is an honour for me to act in a Mani Ratnam film."
His statement came as he shared the stage with the crew of ‘Thug Life’, now surrounded by a controversy.
