Caitlin Clark’s Nike Kobe sneakers sell out within minutes after monday morning release
Nike debuted a special sneaker for Caitlin Clark. She is one of the brightest stars in the WNBA and Nike created a custom style, the Kobe V Protro, which consists of a special edition sneaker named after the late NBA great Kobe Bryant, The sneaker was released on Monday, July 1, 2025 at 10 a.m.
Eastern Time and sold out online within minutes. The original retail price was $190, but many pairs are now popping up on resale websites like eBay for over $350.
The sneaker features coloring inspired by Caitlin Clark’s team, the Indiana Fever—midnight navy, bright crimson, and hints of gold. Nike stated that the shoes have a shiny, highly glossy finish that pops under lights. It is unclear how many pairs have been made or when they will be restocked.

Caitlin Clark, 22, has cemented herself as one of the biggest names in basketball. Frost topping her illustrious collegiate career as the all-time leading scorer in NCAA basketball while at the University of Iowa. She is now in the WNBA and has just received the Rookie of the Year award. She was also named Time Magazine’s Athlete of the Year 2024.
Sneaker expert Jeff Staple, founder of the STAPLE streetwear brand, said this shoe marks a big moment for women’s sports. “This is a new chapter,” he said. “Caitlin’s sneaker may not be the first ever by a woman, but it shows how far women’s sports have come.”Caitlin Clark will also co-captain the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game on July 19 in Indianapolis, alongside Napheesa Collier.
