Woman out to attend nature’s call killed in a Seraikela forest

Jamshedpur: A 19-year-old woman, who left her home to defecate in a nearby forest patch in the early hours of Thursday, was found dead with grave injuries hours later. The deceased was identified as Neha Nayak, a resident of Shivpuri village under Kandra police station limits in Seraikela-Kharsawan district.When she did not return despite several hours having passed, Neha’s parents and neighbours ventured into the local Burudih forest in search of her. Soon, they found Neha lying lifeless with blood stains all over her body and alerted the police. Initial probe revealed that she was bludgeoned to death with a heavy object as there were injury marks on her head and other parts of the body. “We have some leads, and our team is working on them.

Soon the case will be cracked,” said Kandra police station in-charge, Anjani Kumar.
