A 26-year-old private firm employee has filed a complaint against the airport staff for allegedly stealing her wrist watch during the routine check at the Kempegowda International airport on Friday.
Based on the complaint by Neha Kushwah, the Airport police have registered a case under Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita’s section 303 (theft) on Monday for further investigation.
According to the complaint, the passenger had entered Terminal 2 of the airport around 8.30 a.m. to board a flight to Gwalior. During the security check, she removed her wrist watch, estimated to be worth ₹10,000 and placed it in the tray. After the security check, she noticed the wrist watch kept in the tray for scanning was missing. She then informed the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel and raised a complaint before boarding the flight.
She received a communication from CISF that a person by the name of Usha Gangadhar was suspected of being behind the theft. She then approached the Airport Police on August 24 and lodged the complaint. A probe is underway, the police said.
