Woman stabbed to death in Wayanad

A 34-year old woman was stabbed to death, allegedly by her live-in partner, at Vakery near Mananthavady in Wayanad district on Sunday night. The victim was identified as Praveena.

Her 14-year old girl child also sustained injuries in the incident and admitted to a government hospital at Mananthavady. Another nine year girl child went missing from the crime spot. Police sources said search was on to rescue her.

Sudheesh, the suspected live-in partner escaped from the spot after the incident. It was some quarrel over her previous marriage that ended up in the murder, the police said.
