Women drive nationwide awareness campaign as JITO Ladies Wing hosts multi-city car rally

March 8, 2026 marked a historic moment for the Jain International Trade Organisation (JITO) as women across India came together with remarkable energy and purpose. On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the JITO Ladies Wing led a nationwide initiative aimed at spreading health awareness and driving meaningful social impact.JITO Ladies Wing, the women’s empowerment arm of JITO, continues to inspire leadership and positive social change through its strong national network. The wing actively drives initiatives that empower women while contributing to causes that benefit society at large.This achievement was the result of over two months of continuous planning, coordination, and dedication by the JITO Ladies Wing national committee and chapters across India.

Their collective efforts ensured that the message of thalassemia and cancer awareness reached thousands of families and communities, encouraging people to understand the importance of testing, early detection, prevention, and timely medical care.Special appreciation was extended to Vijay Bhandari, President of JITO Apex, along with the entire working committee, for their strong support behind the initiative. Mahaveer Chaplot, WC In Charge, JLW; Sonali Dugar, Director In Charge; Sheetal Dugar, Chairperson; Yeshma Jain, Vice Chairperson; Sarla Bhutoria, Secretary; Shashi Mandot, Secretary; Kavita Shah, Treasurer; and Rachana Kanugo, Health and Nutrition Convener of JITO Ladies Wing Apex, were also congratulated for leading and supporting the initiative with dedication and vision.Raman Jain and his team played a crucial role in successfully leading and organising the national event in Delhi.

A felicitation ceremony was also held in the capital to celebrate and acknowledge this national achievement. The national flag-off ceremony took place at Buddha International Circuit, Greater Noida, starting from 6:00 AM onwards, where the enthusiasm and excitement of the participants created an electrifying atmosphere. The ceremony was also attended by actor and cancer survivor Lisa Ray, who flagged off the rally.

The Navkar Mantra initiative, scheduled for 9 April 2026, was also launched during the event. The ceremonial lamp lighting was graced by Mahaveer Chaplot along with Sonali Dugar, Sheetal Dugar, Raman Jain, Lisa Ray, and Mohit Jain. During the ceremony, Mahaveer Chaplot warmly welcomed the dignitaries and participants and shared brief remarks highlighting the significance of the upcoming Navkar Mantra Diwas, to be observed globally on 9th April 2026, inviting everyone to join this spiritually significant celebration.With a clear vision to spread awareness, the ‘IIFL Drive with Purpose – National Car Rally for Thalassemia & Cancer Awareness’ was successfully organized across the country. The rally witnessed an overwhelming response with 3000+ cars participating across 90+ cities, making it one of the largest women-led awareness drives in India. Women drivers and participants came together with one shared goal: to spread awareness about thalassemia and cancer, encourage preventive testing, and motivate communities to prioritize health.

The rally transformed city streets into moving platforms of awareness, carrying powerful messages of early detection, prevention, and support for affected families.The initiative created history by achieving recognition from the India Book of Records for the ‘Largest Multi-City Car Rally Organised to Create Awareness on Thalassemia’. The record was set by the Jain International Trade Organisation on 8 March 2026, where car rallies were organized across multiple cities to spread awareness about thalassemia and promote social responsibility.

The initiative aimed to educate people about treatment options, medical care, counselling, and support available for affected families.Adding to the spectacle, the rally saw participation from an impressive range of luxury and performance vehicles, including the Lamborghini Huracán Tecnica, Lamborghini Urus, Rolls-Royce Ghost, Bentley Flying Spur, Mercedes-Maybach GLS, Mercedes-Maybach S-Class, Range Rover Vogue, Lexus LM, Lexus LS, Land Rover Defender, Mini Cooper, Toyota Hilux, Mercedes-Benz GLE, Škoda Slavia, and MG Hector, creating a vibrant and energetic atmosphere while amplifying the visibility of this meaningful awareness drive. The organisers also acknowledged the support of sponsors and partners that backed the nationwide initiative, including IIFL Capital, Federation of Economic Empowerment Foundation (FEF), RDB Group, Nahar Group, Baldota Group, Pagariya Group, Haldiram’s, Micro Labs Limited, KLJ Group, JK Tyre, The Times of India, and E-Master as media partners.The campaign also created a powerful digital impact.
