“On behalf of the entire support staff and the Indian team, I want to wish the women’s team all the very best. Enjoy the occasion, be fearless. Don’t be scared of making a mistake. You’ve already made the entire country proud,” said Gambhir on the eve of the final. India pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah said that occasions such as a World Cup final were rare and that the women’s team didn’t need to do anything different but enjoy the moment, give their best and that the rest would take care of itself.

“Enjoy the occasion. You don’t get to play a lot of World Cup finals. You don’t need to do anything different. You’re playing really well. Back yourself, enjoy the moment. Give your best and everything else will take care of itself,” Jasprit Bumrah

Both Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav were part of the video message as well with Kuldeep saying that the team had shown a lot of maturity, especially in the win over Australia.

“Be yourself. Keep doing what you have been doing till now. Wish you all the best,” said Axar Patel. Kuldeep Yadav, who was with him, added, “ You’ve shown a lot of maturity, especially in the semi-final. Carry that forward in the final and enjoy yourselves.”
